The deed is done … One small step for Riders; one giant leap for Riders United.

As a first (baby) step for this ambitious group, I just returned from donating 10 bags of non-perishable food items to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada.
With the 11th hour blessing of our President and lacking any objection from the board, this morning, I rode “Enterprise” into town and after purchasing the items, I presented SA Captain Robert Spurrell with a semi-official certificate bearing the RU Approved Charity badge and advised him that the Salvation Army is the first of what I hope will become a long list of approved charities. Captain Spurrell was grateful.
Coincidentally, at the scene a local radio broadcast was underway in support of the Salvation Army food drive. I didn’t stay to hear it, however, Riders United also got its first radio promo.
So folks, first batter up hit a single. Who’d like to step up to the plate and try for a home run?
