Hello...

controlguy — Fri, 07/24/2009 - 09:35

Hello All! My name is Tim. I too come here from the 1300tourer.com group. I am 43 and have been married to my wonderful wife, Anje, for 21 years. We have two daughters: one in college, one starting high school. I am a life-long Minnesota resident. I grew up in a little farm town (Hector) in central MN where my dad was a teacher and mom stayed at home. I moved to Minneapolis for college, met my wife, and began the journey toward adulthood. (I'll be sending out postcards when I get there!) After "almost" being an aerospace engineer, a cop, and a restaurant manager, I finally found something I loved that also paid the bills. I now make a living as a control pipe fitter for a great contractor in Maple Grove, MN. We have lived in Minneapolis, Eagan, Hopkins, and now St. Michael for the last 12 years. My wife sings in the church worship band and I run the sound board. She is also active in our local Amercan Cancer Society - Relay For Life chapter. I volunteer with the local Lions Club. My life on two wheels began just a little over a year ago. I started out last summer on a Honda Shadow 600. I upgraded to a V-Star 1300T in late September. This June, Anje and I rode down to TN for the 1300Tourer Meet & Greet. What an awesome experience. After a 1200 mile ride home, we both wanted to do laundry, repack, and leave again. Riding is something I will do until I can't hold up a bike. I look forward to meeting all of you as time goes on.
